PIRA 1M40.15 Conservation of Energy: Stopped Pendulum
Photo Shows the Demonstration Used at U.T. Austin.
Instructions / Notes:
- Make two reference marks to show where the pendulum was released and where it should stop.
- Demo Staff: the reference marks need to be below the string stop.
- Raise the pendulum to one the reference marks and release it.
- The pendulum reaches almost the same maximum height at both ends of
its swing.
