The above demo was built by E.S. Ritchie and Sons - Boston - circa 1886 - 1900.
- As per a google search, E.S Ritchie and Sons of Boston were in business between 1886 until 1935.
- The firm's founder, Edward S. Ritchie, received the first US Patent for a liquid filled nautical compass in the 1860's.
