6A42.10 Refraction at Flat Surfaces: Blackboard Optics - Refraction
Photo of the Demonstration at the University of Texas at Austin when used in a darkened room.
Photos shows other variations of this demonstration.
Instructions / Notes:
-
Faculty: Room lights must be dimmed for students to see the refracted rays.
-
Optics Board light sources are set to project rays through lucite prisms.
-
The light sources include an incadescent ray box and a set of parallel lasers.
-
The bottom most light source, (hiding in the photo below), is set up with a single slit - it projects through a small prism to show a spectrum.
