If the rotational inertia of an object about its
center of mass is given by *I*_{cm} = *kMR*^{2},
where *M* and *R* are its mass and radius, then
*V*_{cm} is proportional to the square root of 1/(1 + *k*).
Therefore the object with the largest rotational inertia (largest *k*) always
loses the race!
