• Viruses do not exist. Bacteria may or may not exist, but do not cause any disease. Instead, bacteria may cluster around diseased areas, leading to the misunderstanding that the disease resulted from their presence.
• Vaccines
do not protect against disease. Instead, vaccines cause
diseases by modifying DNA and other basic molecules important to
life processes. Vaccines are useless in preventing common
diseases, and have caused millions of deaths. Diseases
have been wiped out by improved sanitation and health practices,
not by useless and dangerous inoculations.
• All disease is due to environmental factors, poor diet, abuse of stimulants, failure to take important supplements, etc. In general, if you catch a disease, it is your fault for not following various contradictory internet guidelines established by various notorious quacks, and not taking the expensive and useless supplements they recommend.
• Your health is completely under your personal control. You are personally empowered. You never need medical doctors, hospital surgery, tested medications, various kinds of physical therapy or rehabilitation, hospital or clinic tests, or anything in any way related to “conventional, science-based” medical diagnosis, treatment or life-style changes.
• Everything “natural” is good and safe and healthy, while everything “man-made” is dangerous, unhealthy and unnatural. [Actually, virtually every agricultural product is the result of centuries of selective breeding. And molecules don't care how they get made! Almost every poison is found in nature.]
• The entire medical profession, and the entire pharmaceutical industry, are in business to maintain a state of poor health in the population. The doctor diagnoses an imaginary ailment which can only be treated by an expensive medication, and the patient must continue to take the medication (which may do great harm) for life. It's a racket to victimize people physically and financially.
• Quackery is generally distinguished by the totally nonthreatening rituals involved in both diagnosis and treatment. A quack might diagnose your problem by examining the palm of your right hand, or looking at your tongue, or touching a crystal to your forehead. He or she might then treat the (imaginary) problem thus detected by shining a colored light on your knee, or rubbing his or her fingertips across your forehead, or prescribing a “medicine” you have never heard of, but which cures any known problem, by just taking a teaspoon a day with food.
• Quacks boast of practicing “alternate methods of healing,” unknown to or ignored by medical science. These approaches are most often based on tradition, superstition, little-known religious rituals, strange pseudoscientific misconceptions held by the practitioner, or assumed magical (imaginary) connections between one part of the body and another.
“Totalitarianism in power invariably
replaces all first-rate talents, regardless of their sympathies,
with those crackpots and fools whose lack of intelligence and
creativity is still the best guarantee of their loyalty.”
—Hannah Arendt
