Basically Austin has the largest urban bat colony in North America. Over 1.5 million bats. They live under a bridge downtown on Towne Lake (really a damned river). We took a boat ride last night to see them. The pictures are from a cheap digital camera. Since the bats come out at night, the pictures are a bit dark...
