Class Announcements:
1.
3ed-chapter labels vs 2ed chapter labels.
The clicker
questions were originally created for the 2ed. Starting from 3ed-chapter 14,
the 3ed-chapters are one chapter ahead of the 2ed-chapters, i.e. 3ed-chapter14 corresponds 2ed-chapter 13 etc.
2.
Reminder:
o
During
clicker sessions, if your serial number is in one of the additional cells at
the end, most likely the serial number in your Quest account is either blank or
incorrect. You need correct this asap,
so that your participation work can be recorded and graded by Quest.
o
The
serial number of your clicker might not be the same as that printed at the back
of the clicker. The only way to be sure is to go to the ITS
office in FAC and let them read the signal. Once the serial number of the
signal is known, please see Patsy McDonald WCH 2.207, (512)471-5416.
o
During
the semester there is no adjustment on your iq-record.
We give you 4 drops to compensate legitimate excuses. Use your drops sparingly.
3.
Questions on the ongoing homework:
o
Discuss
among peers (joint the face book: our
group in facebook is: Physics 303L-MI, Spring12)
o
Bring
your questions to online office hours. They are scheduled the days before the
homework is due.
o
Further
help: ask LAs and TA if needed.
o
Email
me your questions. I plan to cumulate all of your questions. And post it once a
day during the week days. (Subject line: 303L-MI)
