About the class:
Physics 102m is the laboratory class that accompanies Physics 302k. The subjects we cover in our 11 labs include:
- Kinematics of Free Fall
- Newtons Second Law (static and dynamic)
- Energy
- Momentum
- Torque (static and dynamic)
- Buoyancy
- Harmonic Motion
- Standing Waves
- Heat
What to bring to class:
- Lab Manual
- Your Student ID
- Completed Prelab (if applicable)
- Graph paper, Calculator, protractor, ruler (if needed)
- USB drive if you want to save (the computers do not have Internet connections)
After lab:

Physics Micro Computer Lab or PMCL (RLM 7.306)
This facility is a computer lab for undergraduate students who are taking physics courses. The lab has Windows 7 computers. To use the computers you must know your UT EID. You can print here, and access neccisary software. You can also work at home if you have a computer and the software.
Software:
-
Excel (by Microsoft)
Excel is Microsoft's spreadsheet program. We do not require this program but our labs are tailored to using spreadsheets. Other spreadsheet programs, such as Apple Numbers, can be used.
Capstone (by Pasco)Capstone is the program that will run most of our computer run experiments. This program will be provided on all the inlab computers; you should not need access to this program outside 102m lab. However, the RLM 7.306 also has Capstone if you need it to access optional saved files.
